Australia-based Water Bros dropped a bold press release this week announcing their whole-home filtration systems with lifetime warranties and free sediment filters forever. The Sydney company is capitalizing on Australia's PFAS concerns, noting that Aussie safety thresholds allow 560 ng/L while the U.S. proposes just 4 ng/L (over 100 times stricter).

Happy Monday!
Friday was technically the first day of summer and as if on command the entire country got real warm.
Alright, now for the news.
Insights from Down Under
Australia-based Water Bros dropped a bold press release this week announcing their whole-home filtration systems with lifetime warranties and free sediment filters forever. The Sydney company is capitalizing on Australia's PFAS concerns, noting that Aussie safety thresholds allow 560 ng/L while the U.S. proposes just 4 ng/L (over 100 times stricter). Co-founder Lachlan Comport writes that they're "taking the guilt and hassle out of owning a water filter," comparing traditional maintenance schedules to the annoyance of changing printer cartridges and declaring "we'll just give customers their sediment pre-filters for free, forever." Water Bros is positioning themselves against competitors like Puretec (10-year warranty) and Water Analytics (3-year warranty) with their lifetime coverage. The company is betting that eliminating service contracts and replacement fees will differentiate them in a crowded market.
Expanding Across States
Advanced Water announced this week that it is expanding its hydration game across Michigan, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Florida. Owner Kirk Beermann tells customers that the recent rebrand, which changed their name from Advanced Refreshments to Advanced Water, reflects their evolution beyond basic refreshment services. The California-based company touts an impressive product lineup including their WL50 and WL30 systems (available only in Michigan and Florida) that feature RO technology with mineral add-back, multi-stage micro-filtration, and an in-tank LED UV system that recirculates every 15 minutes. They also offer ice dispensers and sparkling water systems. Beermann is betting big on the touchless trend and sustainability angle to differentiate from traditional bottled water services while offering one-week free trials to hook new commercial clients.
Jumbo DI Water Tanks (Sponsored)
In a new article from last week, Specialty Sales LLC & AM Products highlighted the top benefits of jumbo DI water tanks for businesses that need high volumes of ultra-pure water. Joel from the team says that these large-capacity deionized water systems deliver serious advantages over running multiple smaller tanks, especially for operations requiring consistent, contaminant-free water.
Why Jumbo DI Tanks Are Smart:
🚀 Maximum Efficiency: Eliminate the constant swapping of smaller tanks—jumbo tanks keep ultra-pure water flowing longer with less downtime
💧 Ultra-Pure Performance: Remove minerals and contaminants completely, protecting sensitive equipment and ensuring consistent product quality
🏭 No Onsite Hassles: Tanks are regenerated offsite, so you avoid the cost, complexity, and environmental regulations of handling discharge water yourself
⚙️ Equipment Protection: Prevent mineral buildup in boilers, machinery, and production equipment to maintain peak performance and extend service life
🎯 Many Applications: Perfect for pharmaceutical manufacturing, electronics, food & beverage processing, car wash spot-free rinse, and industrial facilities

From pharmaceutical-grade purity to spot-free car wash systems, their team has the right jumbo DI solution to match your volume and quality requirements.

Issues in Commercial RO Systems
Ampac USA's Sammy Farag published a comprehensive troubleshooting guide for commercial RO systems this week, tackling issues across industries like pharmaceuticals, food processing, and power plants. Farag breaks down the usual suspects– low water flow from fouled membranes, high TDS readings indicating worn-out components, and continuous drain flow that sends utility bills through the roof. According to the guide, membrane fouling remains the top performance killer, with biological, organic, inorganic scaling, and colloidal buildup all contributing to reduced recovery and increased pressure drops. Farag notes that modern systems equipped with SCADA or IoT monitoring can catch issues before they become costly downtime events, while proper chemical clean-in-place procedures and antiscalant treatments can extend membrane life significantly.
AquaTru vs Bluevua
Water Filter Guru just dropped another data-heavy comparison of two popular countertop RO units, and according to their testing, AquaTru edged out Bluevua (9.54 vs 8.68 overall score). Fan favorite Brian Campbell writes that AquaTru delivered better contaminant removal with full NSF certifications for all 83 claimed reductions, while Bluevua couldn't completely eliminate fluoride and lacks performance certifications entirely. For efficiency, they found AquaTru's 4:1 pure-to-waste ratio crushes Bluevua's 2:1, and ongoing costs favor AquaTru at $0.11/gallon versus $0.27/gallon for Bluevua. That said, Campbell notes that Bluevua brings UV protection and a more compact footprint to the table, plus it includes remineralization upfront while AquaTru charges $20 extra for that feature. Both units retail around $450, but according to the review, AquaTru's certification credentials and lower operating costs might be easier selling points.
